Customers need CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) calibration ANNUALLY IAW ASME B89.4.1 to ensure their equipment delivers accurate, repeatable measurements that comply with industry and customer quality standards. Calibration verifies and corrects any deviations in the machine’s performance, helping prevent costly errors, rework, and non-conformances in production. Regular calibration ensures traceability, supports audit readiness, and maintains confidence in measurement results—especially critical in aerospace, automotive, and precision manufacturing sectors 

Customers need articulating arm calibration IAW ASMEB89.4.22 to ensure the device maintains its precision and reliability in dimensional inspection tasks. Over time, factors like wear, environmental changes, or accidental impacts can affect measurement accuracy. Regular calibration helps detect and correct these deviations, ensuring consistent performance and compliance with quality standards. Calibration ensures traceability, supports audit readiness, and protects customers from costly measurement errors or non-conformances-- it should be done at least once a year, but more often with heavy use or relocation/impact.

Customers need calibration of other measuring machines—such as optical comparators, laser scanners, and surface plates—to ensure measurement accuracy, traceability, and compliance with quality standards such as ISO/ASME. Without at least annual calibration, these instruments can drift over time due to wear, environmental factors, or mishandling, leading to incorrect measurements, failed inspections, and costly rework.
